How we got our start

Growing up in Trinidad and Tobago, Michelle and her family faced many hardship and struggles. She has seen what poverty looks like she has seen the need for divine intervention in the homes and lives of individuals. Inspired by her own experiences, the ministry’s first project began in her birth country of Trinidad and Tobago in December 2020.

About

Michelle Ribiero Lilly - Founder and CEO

Michelle Ribiero Lilly was born and raised into a Christian family on the island of Trinidad & Tobago.  She accepted Christ into her life at the age of 18 and has always had a passion to work with kids and families.  Her first job working with kids/families was at Ruth’s Private Preschool Valysn Trinidad/Tobago where she got 3 1/2 years of experience working as a pre-school teacher.  She then opened her own preschool and daycare in her home town Chaguanas.  In 2006, fifteen years ago she had a spiritual life-changing encounter where she was led to serve in a ministry after she migrated to United States, New York City.  She quickly took up her space in children's ministry/prayer and worship at the local open bible Baptist church.  At present, she serves on the prayer team with C.C.W.N and also at her home church Harvest Chapel on the prayer/worship team.  Michelle is a certified Relationship couples/children counselor and spends her time praying and assisting individuals and families.  She continues her mission being led by God through Open Gates of Mercy Ministry extending kindness, love, and compassion far and wide for those who are in need.

Team of Volunteers

Since our founding in 2020, Open Gates of Mercy Ministries has developed and grown in a positive direction. We’re very proud of the diversity of our staff, and their abilities to contribute their own unique experience and skills to our success. None of this could be accomplished without our team members below.

We came across Stacy and her family through a referral through a church.  She had lost all hope.  Open Gates of Mercy Ministry stepped in with assistance of prayer and food.  This is her testimony.
